ok, barely glanced over the patch but it might just be fine. Can you split up this
patch and send a separate patch for the spelling mistakes? I'll then have some
quick testing done on the result and do a bit deeper review after newyears.

i am trying to get the 82566 working with Darwin (OSX). I use the=20
AppleInte8255x-18.8.00.tar.gz from apple.=20

=46rom the linux source i learned that the 82566 needs some special treatme=
nt=20
and is a bit different from the 8255x version. Currently i don't have even=
=20
success in reading the eeprom values.

Somebody around here who can give me a proper link to the 82566 datasheet o=
r=20
give me some hints?
